I have received a few photos and 3 short videos of the USS Shangri-la CV 38 from an ex crew member who had to retire from the Navy during the Vietnam War. She was originally launched as an Essex class carrier but too late for much duty during WWII but was modernized during the years including the angled deck for jets.
